"Chimney birds"

These guys are starting to hang out on our chimney and roof ridge again. Lots of chatter in the morning.

Those are Chimney Swifts. They are one of the only species that can fly straight up which means they like to nest in Chimney's. I've had them in my chimney before. They pair for life and like to nest right above the flue. If you get them one year, they'll be back for as long as they can get into the chimney.
